Why Laundry School
The Indian dry clean and laundry is an unorganized industry which is majorly run by dhobi’s who do not understand the processes. They clean all articles be it silk, wool, cotton etc in the same way – in water. They have no knowledge about professional dry clean and you will be surprised to know the so-called dry cleaners in India, who have been operating since over 50 years, do not know what is dry cleaning. In such an environment, it is very difficult for any person to gain professional knowledge by experience. Because his entire experience will be with the people who themselves don’t understand the subject.
Machine dealers will give you information to the extent that they are able to sell their machines to you. According to every machine dealer / manufacturer, their machine is better than others. If you talk to one dealer / manufacturer you will be impressed and be of the opinion to buy machines from him. But the moment you meet the another dealer your opinion may change as you completely depend on the information provided by them, you yourself have no knowledge of it. Same is the case with the solvent and chemical dealers. Since you do not have any knowledge, they may sell you something that you may not require. Each of the chemical dealers talk about dosage and price but how will you know about alternate chemicals which gives you the same quality and may cost you a lesser amount than what you are using.
